FreeStreamHosting FAQ - PLEASE READ FIRST

Why do my listeners get access denied?

Our free service is ad-supported so your listeners must tune in via the URL that is given inside the control panel when you first register, or by going to 'Tune in links & scripts' on the menu.

Anyone trying to tune in directly to the stream without first visiting the stream will not be able to listen (they will get an access denied error).

Anyone found cheating the system will find their account terminated immediately without notice.

We get a lot of people asking this question, so from now on any support tickets that relate to access denied errors will be either ignored or directed to this page.

Why is my server private?

The 'Private' status simply means that your stream is not listed on shoutcast.com and doesn't mean that no one can listen. It is not possible to list free streams on the directory at shoutcast.com because that would send them directly to the stream where they would be denied access for not visiting the listen page first.

Again, we get a lot of people asking this question, so from now on any support tickets that relate to access denied errors will be either ignored or directed to this page.

To get the code, log in to the panel and go to 'Tune in links & scripts' on the menu and scroll down slightly to the 'Display Ads' section underneath 'Javascript/HTML scripts'. The code starts with

How can I remove ads?
