Test the connection to your server

If you are streaming to your server and find that the connection sometimes drops then there could be an issue with either your ISP, a routing problem on the Internet or bad connection to your Shoutcast server  - there are many potential causes for this.

To get an idea of where the problem is, you can download a free tool that tests for connection problems - this is available from http://www.pingplotter.com/

Once installed, open the programme and type your stream IP in to the "Address to Trace" box. You can also put the "Trace Interval" to 5 seconds to ping the server more often.

After it has been running for an hour or so, click File, Save Sample Set and open a support ticket attaching the file. We will then take a look and if necessary submit the information to our providers.
