Some customers on usa1-vn might have noticed the control panel running a bit slow. This has been fixed.

I found that a lot of old shoutcast processes were running on the server so have shut them down.

Streams that were running have been left alone so no streams were interrupted.

CPU usage immediately dropped from 100% to 4% and the server is working perfectly.

Although there have been no reports or complaints of any issues, I’ve noticed some sharp bandwidth drops on the above servers – everything seems ok from here with no buffering on streams, which would suggest that one of the carriers to the datacentre is having network issues.

This is outside the control of the datacentre and may affect some listeners and not others – these problems only normally last for very short periods.

I’ve managed to do a traceroute from a location that is affected and it does seem to be an issue with a specific carrier (which is basically one of the many ISPs that the datacentre uses).

This is almost certainly being worked on but I’ve submitted a traceroute and relevant details to them.

As customers on this server know, there have been a few problems lately and it seems to be a hardware problem with the drive. We are looking for another drive of the same model so that the bottom board can be replaced but this is taking a while.

I will keep you updated via this forum topic.

Anyone that would like to have their autodj set up on a new server, please contact support and this will be done asap.

We are still waiting to see if the data can be recovered. Please check back here for further news on the status of the server.

If you would like to have your AutoDJ stream moved to another server then please let us know, any files will be lost but you will be able to start using it again straight away.

We have had some info from the datacentre, they still believe that it will be possible to reciver the data, however it will take another 24 hours at least due to the hard drive model being a slightly unusual one.

We have reinstalled the server so you can start using it again (ftp will be available within the next hour).

This page will be updated once we are able to reciver the data from the old drive.

We experienced an outage on uk2-vn today due to a hardware fault. The hardware affected has been replaced and the server is now back online and running as normal. If your stream is still not working then please try logging into the control panel to restart it, if this doens’t work then open a support ticket and we will look into it straight away.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

There has been a network issue with one of our providers which has affected both the websites and support system and uk2-pn streaming server. The problem seems to have been resolved now and we are going to get a full explanation from the datacentre.

This seems to have been a major outage that affected several datacentres and many hosting and streaming businesses will have been affected.
