We Shoutcast have now removed legacy V1 servers from the Shoutcast YP, we will start the process of moving all customers over to the latest version of Shoutcast over the next 2 weeks. This will ensure that customers with public servers can continue their listing.

You won’t need to make any changes or updates to your streaming software or links, the latest version is fully backwards compatible with V1 sources and links.

We are unable to give exact times of the updates, your server will upgrade as we process the servers. You will notice your server reset at some point, it will come back up within a few seconds and as long as you have your source set up to reconnect automatically then there will be little interruption to listeners.

As Google Chrome also no longer supports Shoutcast V1, we don’t plan on offering the ability to run V1 servers via the control panel, however if you prefer to use V1 then please contact us and we can add limited support for this.

Due to the recent problems with this server, we have had to set up a new server and swap customers across.

If you are using the hostname uk3-vn.mixstream.net for your source settings and listener links then you need to take no action as the address will automatically update to the new server.

If you are using the IP address ( as opposed to the hostname uk3-vn.mixstream.net) then you have two options open:

2) If changing your IP address causes problems, then you can continue to stream to as we are keeping the server online for those who are unable to change. This server is being renamed to uk5-vn.mixstream.net. Resellers should use the control panel at http://uk5-vn.mixstream.net from now on.

We hope that this satisfies all affected customers. The reduced load on the old server should improve service for customers that use it and those that choose to change will also be hosted on a much faster server.
